We Ask the Director of Maximum Estates EU Demi Pasaoglu

HangiEv.com Soruyor: This week HangiEv.com Soruyor hosts the director of Maximum Estates EU, Demi Pasaoglu. Mrs. Demi, how did you start the real estate business?

Demi Pasaoglu: My real estate career started 23 years ago in London, when I got Masters Degree in Property Valuation and Law, at the London City University Business school, and worked for King Sturge - the top 10 UK Property and Asset Management companies. After moving to Cyprus in 2002, I joined one of the most successful British agencies. And 7 years later registered my own company in Cyprus, while working at a local developer’s company. So I have a good understanding of the local market. Last 8 years I worked in Germany, so I also hold a German broker’s license. Now I am back to Cyprus, and happy to see that the real estate sector standards have gone up considerably. And we have a lot of international influx. I see a lot of positive change here.

HangiEv.com Soruyor: Your company is very new, what were the factors that prompted you to open your own company?

Demi Pasaoglu: Our company is actually registered since 2010, and I guess real estate is part of me now. Cyprus’s real estate market has developed immensely in the last decade. The standards are growing constantly. And I have a large pool of West and East European buyers, with strong financial power. So, this is just a natural progression for me to re-start in Cyprus. It’s very exciting time to join the Cyprus market again.

HangiEv.com Soruyor: As a company, you provide service to many countries in many languages. Do you find it difficult to provide this variety?

Demi Pasaoglu: Not at all difficult. Yes, we speak 6 languages in our company. Because I have worked with the international buyers, not only here in Cyprus, but also in Germany and the UK, for me its not a challenge at all, but just a procedure I have done many times. I know German and Russian investors requirements quite well, and that helps me to be of best service to our clients. Of course, every client brings his own challenges, and its my job, as the agent, to make sure it all goes as easy as possible. And of course, there is always something new to learn, as the local and global markets change.

HangiEv.com Soruyor: What kind of differences will you bring to the sector as Maximum Estates EU?

Demi Pasaoglu: Firstly, I can say, I have already built an amazing portfolio of Off-market high profile properties, from luxury mansions to hotels and casinos. We offer overall “one stop shop” services to our clients, from Hotel reservations and inspection trips, to helping them settling on the island, be it dealing with residence permit, bills payments or registering new company in Cyprus, and navigating local legal system. We also offer full after-sales services, letting and asset management. Having experience in highly competitive markets Like Berlin and Leipzig in Germany and London, UK, I believe our company will help continue raising the standards of real estate services in Cyprus, by following the rules and standards acquired through years, and implementing some of them here. Of course, we are growth oriented, always eager to learn.

HangiEv.com Soruyor: What kind of effects have you seen in the real estate sector on the island of the recent increases in inflation?

Demi Pasaoglu: As inflation has affected all sectors globally, driving cost of living ever so higher, a large number of people leave their counties and move to places like Cyprus, where the cost of living and overall quality of life is better and more affordable. Naturally, the cost of construction and hence, the sales prices, will continue to increase in the near future, so, it might end up being challenging but interesting time to be here.
