We Ask Dilek Kurnaz, Director of DK Real Estate & Insurance

This week's guest in our " HangiEv.com " program is Dilek Kurnaz, director of DK Real Estate Insurance.

HangiEv.com : Ms. Dilek, what are the features that distinguish you as DK Real Estate from other real estate agencies?

Ms. Dilek: As DK Real Estate, we work in a people-oriented and customer-oriented manner. In other words, since we see them as a part of our family rather than customers, we take care to serve ourselves as if the product we sell is insurance or any real estate, in all our works based on it. Customer satisfaction is our priority. Since we put satisfaction first rather than sales, we reach the goal we want with that satisfaction behind it.

HangiEv.com : What opportunities are offered to foreign investors in the TRNC?

Ms. Dilek: We are committed to receiving an incredible demand from foreign investors. This is also a visible statistic. This has been going on for a long time and seems to continue. We can observe a certain regional separation, but I believe that it will soon spread to the whole island and everywhere in a much more prominent way. Currently, more attention is paid to the Iskele- Esentepe region. But I think this will spread to the general public. There is no question of foreign investors not liking our island. We live on an island that is still very safe compared to many countries with its sun and heat of almost 8-9 months. Plus, in the current economic crisis, we draw the attention of many foreign investors, very reasonably, because of these fluctuations and so on. In that sense, I think that the demand of foreign investors will continue to increase, and in this sense, we aim that the companies here will respond to the demand by increasing the quality. As DK Real Estate, in the work we do with our foreign investors, we take care to serve as a team with our legal department, our insurance department, our after sales department, together with all our teammates in terms of their safety and purchasing the right product, as is the case with all our investors. Our friendship continues until after the sale is closed and even after it is closed.

HangiEv.com : What are your company's thoughts on the foreign market?

Dilek Kurnaz: In the previous question, I actually seemed to have answered both together. As I mentioned there, we think that the foreign market will continue to increase. This is evident from our research and follow-up. In this regard, we take care to carry out with our business partners and partners in the foreign market, frankly. This Turkish market is different, the work we do in other countries is also different… We do good work with the teams we work with there, too. As I said, it has been our priority to organize all the infrastructure that will enable them to be owned safely, together with our partners there.

HangiEv.com : As an entrepreneur woman, what is the process like for you to manage two companies operating in both real estate and insurance?

Ms. Dilek: Frankly, it is not an easy process. We come from a corporate structure and I have 18 years of insurance expertise. I, on my own behalf, and my friends in my team and my colleagues who are interested in the insurance department, continue with the same meticulousness. It is very true that it is not easy because it is actually two parallel sectors. Although it seems very close, there are differences between them. But I think the main common feature of both of them is that the first one is very knowledge-based. In other words, it is not easy for everyone in terms of what we call insurance or real estate agents. It needs to be full of gold and based on knowledge. This is the common denominator of both sectors. The second is the human-related sectors. Both of them. In one you are selling a tangible product, and in another you are selling probability. These are not easy at all, something that builds trust is in the product you sell. When we combined the two common denominators, we went through a process where the balance could be established, although it was not easy. It started to sit and it is going very well, thank goodness.

HangiEv.com : What are your thoughts on the future of the North Cyprus Real Estate market?

Ms. Dilek: We already know that with these increasing demands, the North Cyprus Real Estate Market will see demand. It doesn't take much to understand this, we see. Frankly, I want all the products made here or my colleagues and friends to give importance to quality. In other words, every product to be made of high quality, quality presentations, quality should be increased in our name. Because as demand increases, people are looking for a better quality environment as they come. People will need to move to another country for the better, just like in their own country and so on. In that sense, I think we need to create the right, proper and trust-based environments that will increase the quality. Unfortunately, we encountered bad examples. Although time passes, some things are not forgotten. That's why it's always our priority to prepare the product that people will buy in the safest and most comfortable way.
